For those who may not yet know who you are can you tell them a little about yourself, where you grew up and who you are. Sure, My Name is Ashley Taylor & I grew up in Bakersfield, California. I moved to Nashville, Tennessee about 4 years ago to be a Songwriter. I literally sold everything I owned & hopped on a plane without ever seeing Nashville before. It was a wild & crazy time but I honestly can say it's the best decision I ever made. What are you currently working on ? Such as Any New Music, or Tours or life In General ? I have been pretty busy working on lots of new stuff. I have a new single coming out on Nov. 22nd called "Family". I wrote this song by myself & am really excited for folks to hear it. I am also working on booking some full band shows with my band. We are going to be doing a lot of Fairs & festivals this next year.So lots of exciting new things coming up! When did you know Music was going to be a HUGE part of your life. I was 17 when I first picked up a guitar. that moment literally changed my life. I knew I wanted to do music for a living. Whom are your Major Musical influences ? So many great artists in the world. At the top of the list though would be Brandy Clark, Kacey Musgraves, Carrie Underwood, Loretta Lynn, Dixie Chicks, Bon Jovi & Gretchen Wilson. Whom are some of the Past, Present Artist you look up to ? Past would be Loretta Lynn. First song I ever heard was "Coal Miner's Daughter". I just adore her! Present new artist would hands down be Brandy Clark. Her writing, Her voice, It just amazes me! When you do your “World Wide Tour" (cause I just know your going to succeed in this industry) what and who would be your ultimate tour and secondly whom would you like to tour with as Concert mates ? Haha Well thank you so much! I really appreciate that! Man, I would love to do a World Tour someday & would love to play the Opry & the Ryman. Those are my dream venues. I would love to tour with Brandy Clark & Garth Brooks. I think it would be a blast! With the time demands of making music and appearances how does that effect your time for Family, Friends and significant other's and loved ones ? You know I would be lying if I said it was easy. Music is what I love to do & can really consume every aspect of your life. It makes me so happy though. I have to work hard to make sure there is some kind of balance in my life. I love my Family & friends. If you know me you know how important they are. So at the end of the day it is just finding that balance. Do you have or make time just for yourself to download and relax or are you constantly working on New projects and Music ? I feel like I am always working cause there is always something to do or improve on.Like I said before though it all comes down to balance. There are nights where I sit & just watch TV & relax. Yes, I actually have a new song coming out on Nov. 22nd called "Family". Super excited & proud of this song. On those occasions if you have time for yourself what are the things you treasure most to do just for you ? I love to just hang with Family & friends. I love to watch a movie or read a book. I also love to travel. I have a Golden Retriever puppy named "Melody". We go on hikes together & head out to the lake. She is the sweetest thing! Alright is it okay if we get a little personal ? Of course! I am an open book. Do you have siblings ? I do! 4 Brothers.I am the only girl & right in the middle. When is your Birthday ? Sept. 24th. Where do you currently Live ? Nashville, Tennessee. Where are some of the other places you've lived ? Bakersfield, California. Where do you consider to be HOME ? Bakersfield will always be where I got my start but Nashville is my new home. What are some of the thing you Love and absolutely can not do without ? Coffee, Water & air! haha If you could go back in time and talk to younger Ashley , what advice would give her ? Just not to worry. It will all turn out ok. Just be yourself & don't compare your story to someone else. Can you tell us about the younger Ashley, what she was like growing up, and did she always dream of music or were there other interest at play ? I feel like I was a pretty normal kid. I loved School & loved hanging with my friends. When I picked up a guitar at age 17 that is really when I knew I wanted to so music for a living.
